Concord’s Municipal Light Plant has been strategically working towards a carbon free power supply, through retiring Renewable Energy Credits (RECs) from renewable projects that CMLP purchases energy from, and purchasing RECs from other projects through a 0.01/kwh energy charge increase. According to the Town Manager’s report (2/25/2019) Concord’s electricity in 2018 was 54% carbon free. A great help for reducing the Town’s carbon footprint!
